Adhesive Applications is excited to announce the addition of Sarah Brittain as our Lab Director. Sarah will be responsible for the overall operation and administration of our testing laboratory, ensuring testing systems and methods are providing quality services in all aspects of test performance. This newly added position will transition and allow Rob Braiewa to focus his time on new product development.
Sarah graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry, and she started working in a lab testing adhesives ever since.
For the past 10 years, Sarah worked at Henkel as the Lead Technical Service Engineer and Quality Control Lab Manager. She was responsible for adjusting specifications, aligning information with systems for products, leading product review meetings, and authoring several product literature documents and procedures.
Sarah loves working on projects for new business opportunities and to help customers investigate any issues they may be having. She also has vast experience working directly with customers to develop changes to existing product formulations or provide a solution to a new application.
In her new position at Adhesive Applications, Sarah looks forward to “leading the lab team and managing the workflow as the company continues to grow.” She is also eager to “bring value to complaint investigations and improve lab practices, documentation, and structure. I have identified some areas where I feel the lab can benefit and I would like to try to implement some new practices. I’m excited about working with so many knowledgeable people, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this team!”
